Back again on my blog. This time the topic of my blog is about Recount text. do you know what recount text is? so I will explain a little about our topic this time

Definition of Recount Text Recount text is a type of text in English that tells about a story, action, or activity. Usually, recount text tells about someone's experience. The purpose of recount text is to entertain the reader, so that there is no conflict in this text. In addition, this text also aims to provide information to readers.

Kinds of Recount Text

Recount text has several types of text that can be used for you to write. Adjusted to the purpose of the writing itself. Various types of recount text can be seen below:

Personal recount

Personal recount is a recount text that functions to tell the author's personal experience.

Factual recount

Factual r%ecount is a recount text that serves to present reports of events that actually occurred, such as reports on scientific experiments or police reports.

Imaginative

Imaginative is a type of recount text that serves to present an imaginative story. Then write down the events or incidents that have occurred

Recount Text structure

In creating recount text, there is a structure that must be followed when writing this type of text. The recount text structure is divided into 3 parts:

Orientation

In this first stage, the author is asked to provide an introduction in the form of information about who, where, when the event or incidents occurred in the past. In this section, the author is expected to provide the reader with the information necessary to understand the entirety of the text.

Example:

Yesterday I stayed the night at my friend's house, Delia, with my other three friends, Amanda, Tiara and Clarisse. Delia's house is so pretty. It has a big garden with a lot of kind of flowers and a big swimming pool. Right from the balcony, we can see the scenery of the whole of Bandung city.

Events

In this second stage, the writer can convey or tell the events or events that occurred. Authors are asked to write stories in chronological order. Like 'In the first day ...

Reorientation

This last stage is the stage of repeating the introduction in the first stage. The existing loop summarizes all the events or incidents that were told.

In the last stage, the writer can write a summary of all the events or incidents that are told. Authors can also write comments or personal impressions of events or incidents that has happened.

Example:

We finally go to sleep around 2 AM, it was late, but we had so much fun. I would love to go back to Delia's house.

Recount Text Features

When writing a recount text, make sure the following characteristics are included in your writing.

Using past tense sentences

Example: I spent my summer in Yogyakarta and I was very happy.

Using the verbs action

Example: spent, went, brought, took, etc.

Use adverbs and adverbial phrases to express a time, place and way.

Example: last month, in Malang, lately, etc.

Use conjunctions and time connectives to sort events or occurrences.

Example: and, or, after that, etc.

I also want to give an example of the recount text that I made about my idol ✌🏻

It was my perfect moment when I met him. It felt like I was dreaming but at least I believe what I saw. It happened when I was in the airport with my mom. We were waiting my dad from Bali. I looked my watch and wait patiently because his flight was delayed. It was crowded, a lot of people passed by. My mom was bored too, so she decided to bought some snack. When she left, this story is began. 

Suddenly,there were like a huddle of people. It looked like they were waiting for someone, maybe their idol, but I didn't know who was that. So, I keep waiting like there was nothing. They were screaming, and said "Oh My God!! So cute, handsome!". I still didn't know, but I thought it must be a boy or man. The huddle gave a way to made the idol through by. Then I tried to saw him. I met his eyes first then I realized. The idol was Shawn Mendes, my favorite idol too! I didn't know about his coming in my country. He smiled at me so did I. I tried to chase him for an auotograph immediately! And yes, I did it! I got his autograph.

It was my unexpected and my perfect moment in the same time. I'm so glad that I got his autograph, it was once in my whole life - I thought. It's been a year ago but I still keep that moment.
